Grabovica Canyon — Our Story

Born in the Mountains,
Living for the Canyon

Trend Adventures grew out of a local mountaineering club — a group of friends who fell in love with the canyons of Durmitor and wanted to share that passion with the world. What started as weekend descents with friends has grown into one of the leading canyoning agencies in Montenegro.

With over 10 years of experience navigating the region's most spectacular gorges, our certified guides know every drop, every ledge, and every hidden corner. Safety comes first — always — so you can focus entirely on the thrill.

★★★★★

"One of the best experiences in our lives. Genuinely. The views were breathtaking, our guide Mirko was the best — he even picked us up and organised our ride back, let us jump from the highest point and was very helpful and interesting as a person. 1000% recommend!!!"

— Liepa K.
★★★★★

"Bogdan and Jakov were amazing guides. As a person who had a really big fear of heights from childhood days they were supportive throughout the entire process and made me beat it. They really take care of your safety and adjust the tempo if needed."

★★★★★

"A different adventure I couldn't recommend highly enough. Genuinely one of the most fun experiences I've had in a while. Realised canyoning is like via ferrata but with water! Both relaxing when floating downstream and adrenaline-filled when you rappel or jump down waterfalls."

— Magnus H.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first descent.

Not at all — canyoning is fun for everyone. When we reach a 10 m waterfall, some people jump right away, some need a little encouragement, and some choose to descend on a rope without jumping at all. Everyone finds their own preferred level of adrenaline, and that's exactly how we like it.

Almost no one comes with canyoning experience — that's why we have a Beginner program. We guide you through everything. Before entering the canyon we run a full safety briefing where all equipment and techniques are demonstrated step by step.

The water can be chilly, but we provide wetsuits that protect you well. Normally you feel the cold only for the first few seconds — after that the water inside the neoprene reaches body temperature and you feel completely comfortable. You'll become one with the water.

Children above 10 years old have a great time canyoning. We do prefer not to mix younger guests (under 15) with regular groups, as they need more attention and support — which we're happy to give, but it can slow the pace for others. For families with younger children we offer a dedicated "Just For You" private program.

No problem — every jump can be done on a rope instead. We only jump when we know it's completely safe, and nothing is ever mandatory. Usually even small jumps feel like a big adrenaline rush at first, but most people get the hang of it quickly. It's our favourite part of the day.

No problem. The neoprene suit makes you naturally buoyant. And canyons are more like mountain springs with pools than powerful rivers — it's nothing like open-water swimming.

We've got you covered. At the start of every trip we teach the correct technique and our guides belay you for extra safety. By the second rappel most people are already smiling.

That can be a challenge. If you're shaking one metre above the ground, canyoning might push your limits hard. Then again — canyoning is about stepping outside your comfort zone, seeing the unseen, and feeling alive. The worst feedback we ever got was: "This isn't for me, but I'm glad I tried it." That's still a win in our book.
